I was born in Thailand and raised in America by a German father and a Thai mother. I struggled with everything growing up - from severe poverty to identity issues and self-perception in the world at large. But the past and my loving mother helped frame the person I am today. For that, I am blessed.
As a teen, I dropped out of high school to help my sick mother raise my younger sister. Despite all odds, I went on to earn a BA in Film Production from Loyola Marymount University in 2004, an MFA in Screenwriting from UCLA in 2013, and an MFA in Interior Design from New York School of Interior Design in 2020.
I have worked in various capacities for the independent film industry in Thailand and America for over twenty years, most of which as a production designer. With those experiences came the desire to share my stories. I devoted my graduate studies to writing, which brought about the clarity of my thinking process. I discovered that well crafted stories and ideas are an integral part of all aspects of life and careers.
I pursued my interior design degree because I wanted to expand my scope from the film screens to built environments where I can combine my love for art and story telling. An advocate for education, I hope to teach one day.
I am happily married, live in San Jose, CA and work wherever a project may take me around the world.
